Daamould also actively reduces the amount of free water by binding it. This makes the moisture inaccessible for the moulds. The reduction of free moisture offers extra protection against mould growth. Daamould reduces the chance of moisture accumulation in certain areas during the storage, because the free water is stabilized.
Although mould inhibition is crucial for a good management of raw materials and feed, a mould inhibitor should also be used in the total concepts of pig management and poultry management.
