Purpose
Lauric acid and Monolaurate
More and more farms are facing problems because of Streptococcus bacteria. On the other hand, the public opinion and political movements are pressuring farmers to reduce the usage of antibiotics.
Streptococcus bacteria usually do not occur as an isolated incident. Frequently, their occurrence coincides with an outbreak of Entero bacteria; most of the time E.coli.
We have developed two products based on Lauric acid and Monolaurate.
For direct blending in the feed producing industry, we developed Daafit: a clean mixture of Lauric acid and Monolaurate. This combination has proven its effectiveness against Gram-positive bacteria.
For usage on farm level, our product Daafit Plus is a combination of our Lauric acid and Monolaurate mixture, with our antibacterial acidifier. Because of these combinations, the Daafit Plus is highly effective against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria.
The use of a Lauric acid and Monolaurate fits very well in good pig management and poultry management.
