Toxout
Toxout is a mixture of heat activated hydrated sodium-, calcium-, aluminium-silicates (HSCAS). These silicates selectively adsorp mycotoxins by making a stable electrochemical bond with polar mycotoxins.
Toxout binds to the polar mycotoxins aflatoxin, ochratoxin, T2, zearalenone, ocratoxin, vomitoxin, fumonisin, DON and citrinin.
The forming of a molecular complex of mycotoxin and HSCAS inactivates the toxic effects of the mycotoxins. This also prevents the absorption of mycotoxins in the gastro-intestinal tract, resulting in excretion of the inactivated mycotoxins with the faeces.
Because the mycotoxins are neutralized the feed will also retain its palatability, resulting in a higher feed intake by the animals.
