Daafit
More and more farms are facing problems because of Streptococcus bacteria. On the other hand, the public opinion and political movements are pressuring farmers to reduce the usage of antibiotics.
But Streptococcus bacteria usually do not occur as an isolated incident. Frequently, their occurrence coincides with an outbreak of Entero bacteria; most of the time E.coli.
We have developed two products based on Lauric acid and Monolaurate.
Daafit is a pure mixture of Lauric acid and Monolaurate. This combination has proven its effectiveness against Gram-positive bacteria. Daafit is a free-flowing dry product, with excellent blending qualities, which can be mixed into the feed at feedmill level.
On farm level, the Streptococcus bacteria usually do not occur as isolated incidents. Frequently, their occurrence coincides with an outbreak of Entero bacteria; most of the time E.coli. That is why we developed Daafit Plus, a mixture of Lauric acid and Monolaurate, combined with an organic acid mixture. This organic acid mixture has been designed especially for its strong antibacterial effect against Entero bacteria.
This makes Daafit Plus a very effective product against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria.
Daafit can be used as an aspect of pig management and poultry management.
